List of Intel microprocessors

The possibility of replacement the processor depends on specific model of a notebook, a chipset (more precisely than the south bridge) and the processor set in a notebook!

Processors in the rPGA casing can be replaced in house conditions. Processors in the fcBGA casing are unsoldered on the notebook motherboard, their replacement is possible only in the presence of the equipment for BGA (ball grid array) of soldering.

It is necessary to pay attention, after changeover of the processor by more powerful - check compliance of the cooling system with a thermal packet of the set processor. The processor with the increased thermal packet (TDP) will give additional load of power supply unit of your notebook. It is in that case recommended to acquire power supply unit with the increased power. Also, a considerable role is played by quantity of phases of a supply of the processor on the motherboard. Often, the quantity of phases corresponds to the number of the chokes which are near CPU socket (you shouldn't forget about the choke which are used for the built-in graphics of the processor).

Tab Mainboard has a section Southbridge, this parameter is necessary for selection of the suitable processor.

Since architecture of Broadwell the Intel® company makes mobile processors only in BGA casing (don't use a socket, processors are unsoldered directly on the motherboard). Therefore the possibility of changeover of BGA processors is absent.

Обращалась в сервисный центр "КомПом" по замене разъема на ноутбуке. Для того, чтобы ноут заряжался нужно была спецоперация - под разъем подкладывалась книжка, а сам провод подпирался о стенку. Мучения продолжались достаточно долго в настройке зарядки, спасало, что батарея хоть немного держит... Но вскоре даже эта методика перестала работать. Мастер починил все за несколько часов. Знала б что ремонт займет так мало времени и средств, давно воспользовалась бы данной услугой. Спасибо большое).
